Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries in crash

A man in his 80s has sustained life-threatening injuries in a road crash, police have said.
Officers were called to Market Jew Street in Penzance, Cornwall, at about 18:45 GMT on Sunday after receiving reports of an incident involving a black Ford Focus and a pedestrian at the junction with Albert Street.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the pedestrian was taken to hospital and the driver was reported to court for driving without due care and attention.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident has been asked to contact officers.
