Four teenagers have been arrested after a cyclist suffered serious injuries in an early morning attack in Wakefield.
A man in his 30s was treated in hospital for multiple head and facial injuries following the incident on Westgate at about 05:50 BST on Sunday, police said.
Four males, aged 13, 15, 16 and 18, were later arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.
All four suspects were released on bail, according to West Yorkshire Police.
The victim was believed to have been punched to the face and then attacked with the front wheel of his own bike while he was on the floor, a force spokesperson said.
Anyone who saw what happened, or who had information about the attack, was asked to contact police.
