Green light for bar at campsite and fishery
- Published
The owner of a campsite and fishery has been granted a licence to sell alcohol on the site.
The application for a bar at Ferryboat Farm Fisheries in Old Denaby, Doncaster, was approved by the council's licensing sub-committee.
Alcohol will not be permitted to be taken from the site, however those who are camping will be allowed to take it to their caravans and tents.
The bar can open every day from 11:00, with closure five nights a week at no later than 22:00. On Fridays and Saturdays the licence allows trading until 23:00.
The applicant had previously operated a caravan bar on a temporary basis during events and had sought permission to do so permanently.
Five neighbouring residents had opposed the application over potential anti-social behaviour and noise concerns, the Local Democracy Service reported.
However, the sub-committee noted that no complaints had been made during events in the past, therefore there was no evidence supporting the objections when it made its decision last week.
