Man detained after stabbing in seaside resort

A 34-year-old man has been arrested following a stabbing in Hornsea, East Yorkshire.

Humberside Police received a report of an altercation between two men in Newbegin at about 20:10 BST on Sunday.

A 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The suspect remains in custody for questioning, police said.
