Police are appealing for information after a pensioner was headbutted in a park.

The assault happened at Lickey Hills Country Park, Bromsgrove, on Friday at about 14:15 GMT.

A woman in her 70s was approached by an unknown man who ran screaming at her, before grabbing her shoulders, headbutting her and knocking her to the ground.

The victim attended hospital due to her injuries but is now recovering at home. West Mercia Police are asking anyone with information to contact the force.

The man, was described as dressed in scrub-like pyjamas, without shoes, white, of an average build and height and with short brown hair.
