Man barricaded himself in flat and set it on fire

A man has been arrested after an incident in South Lanarkshire which saw two women assaulted and a flat set on fire.
Police were called to Mill Road in Cambuslang just after 16:00 on Thursday after receiving a report of women being assaulted.
A man then barricaded himself within a flat and a fire was set before he threw himself from the balcony.
The two women, aged 41 and 16, were taken to hospital while several properties were evacuated as a precaution.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police Scotland stated that inquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
