Islanders have until the end of Monday to submit suggestions for how Jersey should mark the 80th anniversary of Liberation Day.

The liberation of the island from German Occupation during World War Two is marked each year on 9 May.

The bailiff’s consultative panel put out a call for ideas at the start of October to help develop plans for the 80th anniversary in 2025.

Bailiff Sir Timothy Le Cocq encouraged everyone to be open about their aspirations for how to mark the occasion next year and in the future.

Islanders can submit their views by emailing Liberationday@gov.je, external.
