Two women have been charged in connection with an incident of racial abuse during a television interview.

Amy Palmer, 30, and Annette Cooke, 43, both from Nuneaton, Warwickshire, are accused of causing racially or religiously aggravated harrassmen, alarm or distress and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

The matter relates to interaction between individuals and a businessman while he spoke to Sky News earlier this year.

Ms Palmer, of Dugdale Street, and Ms Cook, of Cross Street, are set to appear at Coventry Magistrates' Court on 5 November.
