The scene from queuing traffic

Two people have been taken to hospital with "potentially serious" injuries after a multi-vehicle crash involving an Amazon truck in Stoke-on-Trent.

Video shows the lorry emerging at a roundabout junction before it goes straight over the grassy island, colliding with a car on the way.

It then comes to rest after hitting a vehicle in queuing traffic at another junction.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said paramedics were called to the junction of the A500 and A519 just after 16:00 GMT on Sunday.

An Amazon spokesperson said the company was investigating the incident with a haulage contractor whose driver was towing the trailer.
