Three arrested after report of people with weapons

Three people have been arrested after police received a report of a group of people with weapons on a residential road in Worcester.

West Mercia Police was informed of a group on Canterbury Road at about 12:30 BST on Monday.

The force said armed officers attended the scene, where they recovered two baseball bats, two knives and a knuckle duster, with three people arrested.

All three have been released on police bail as inquiries continue.

A 20-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and racially aggravated harassment.
