Islanders have sent a message of support to fellow island Jamaica, after the destruction caused by Hurricane Melissa.
The Bailiff of Jersey, Robert MacRae, said he is deeply saddened to learn of the extensive damage and loss suffered.
"Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected - those who have lost loved ones, their homes, or their livelihoods; and those who will now work tirelessly to rebuild their communities," he said.
