Man charged over attempted murder of police officer

A man has been charged in connection with the attempted murder of a police officer in Clydebank.
Officers responded to reports of a man with a weapon outside a pub on Glasgow Road at about 21:25 on Friday.
No-one was injured, but a 52-year-old man was arrested and is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday.
Det Insp Kevin Mulvenna said inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
He added: "We believe that the incident has been captured by members of the public who were there at the time and I would urge them to get in touch and share this footage, external with us."
