A man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a woman in a car park in Nottinghamshire.

Officers received reports of a sexual assault in a car park in Upminster Drive in Nuthall at about 03:30 BST on Friday.

A 33-year-old man was arrested and remains in police custody, said Nottinghamshire Police.

Det Sgt Barry Haines said the victim was "being supported by specially trained officers", adding the force believed the incident was "isolated".

He said: "We appreciate this incident will cause some concern to the public, but I want to reassure them just how seriously we treat all reports of this nature."
