A 61-bedroom hotel and a park-and-ride have been proposed for an area of farmland in the Black Isle village of Tore.

Springfield Properties has sought planning permission in principle from Highland Council for its plans, which also include retail and food and drink units.

The project has been aimed at addressing a lack of business and industrial land in the Inner Moray Firth area, according to the planning papers.

Highland Council has received 14 objections to the proposals, with road safety and scale of the plans among the concerns raised.

The proposed site is bounded by the A835 road and a national cycle route to the north and the A832 to the south, with the A9's Tore roundabout east of the location.
