The older brother of Oasis stars Liam and Noel Gallagher has appeared in court to deny a rape charge.

Paul Gallagher, 59, also pleaded not guilty to coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three of intentional strangulation, two of making a threat to kill, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

It is alleged the offences took place between 2022 and 2024.

Gallagher, of East Finchley, north London, entered his pleas at Harrow Crown Court sitting at Southwark Crown Court on Friday. He was bailed to face trial on 13 September 2027.
