A man killed in a road traffic collision in Barnsley has been named by police as 43-year-old Gary Roberts.
Mr Roberts had been cycling on Pontefract Road at about 19:45 BST on Friday 8 August when he was hit by a silver BMW, South Yorkshire Police said.
He was treated at the scene, near the junction with Beevor Court, but died from his injuries, a force spokesperson said.
Officers said the 24-year-old driver of the BMW, who had fled the scene, was later found and arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and failing to stop.
The driver had since been released on bail, pending further investigation, a spokesperson said.
"Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses, or anyone with CCTV and dashcam footage, to come forward as their investigation continues," the spokesperson added.
