A man has been charged with attempted murder after a teenage boy was shot.

Northamptonshire Police was called to reports a 17-year-old boy had been seriously injured at Hazel Wood near Westcott Way in Corby just after 16:30 BST on 11 April.

It said the victim was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound but was expected to make a full recovery.

Matas Sukaitis, 20, of Chaucer Close, Corby, was remanded into custody at Northampton Magistrates' Court on Saturday charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and possession of a blade.
