Citizens Advice Guernsey to require appointments
- Published
People in Guernsey will need to call and arrange an appointment in future if they want in-person support from Citizens Advice.
The charity said changing from drop-in sessions to appointments would ensure there was an advisor available when needed.
The decision came as a part of the charity's move to a new base and would only affect in-person appointments, they added.
Citizens Advice Guernsey's chief executive, Ali Marquis, said more than 70% of appointments were made by phone, so in-person appointments needed to be made "at a mutually convenient time".
Citizens Advice Guernsey (CAG) will be moving from the Bridge to the Grow charity site at the Petits Quartiers Vinery.
The Bridge office will close at 12.30 GMT on 24 December with the new office opening on 13 January.
Ali Marquis said the move was "an opportune time for reflection" and helped the charity "look forward to the future".
"We exist to help the local community and the move to Grow will allow us to work smarter and more flexibly; ensuring we reach all those who need our help," she added.
