A man has admitted obstructing two police officers and possessing a Class A drug outside Norwich City's stadium.

Graham Riches, 50, of Dyer Close, Horsford, near Norwich, appeared before the city's magistrates' court, where he admitted the offences.

The three charges related to an incident in Carrow Road after the team's 0-0 draw with Leeds United in the play-off semi-final, on 12 May.

Riches denies a charge of assault by beating.

The case involves an incident when a man reported being punched and suffered a cut to his chin thought to be caused by a drink can being thrown at him.

The man was seen by paramedics at the scene and did not require further medical treatment.

Riches was released on bail with conditions, including not to go within 250m (about 800ft) of a Norwich City game.

He is due to appear before Great Yarmouth magistrates in April 2025.
