Driver admits killing boy, 6 and two women

A man has admitted killing a six-year-old boy and two women after hitting them in a stolen car.

Leo Painter, 26-year-old Courtney Hemming, and Claire Adkins, 39, were fatally injured in the crash, on the A44 Spetchley Road in Spetchley, Worcestershire.

Joe-Lewis Tyler, 33, admitted three counts of causing death by dangerous driving in the crash on 22 February, as well as three counts of driving whilst uninsured.

Tyler, of Grenville Road, Worcester, is due be sentenced at Worcester Crown Court on 5 August.

Tyler was driving a stolen grey BMW 3 Series when it collided with a white Ford Mondeo, in which all three victims were travelling.

Ms Adkins and Ms Hemming, who were both from Worcester, died at the scene.

Leo was later rushed to Worcestershire Royal Hospital but died a short time later.

His mum Gemma said she had been left "broken" by his death.

"He changed my life when I had him and I just want to make sure he knows how much he was loved and how much he will be remembered by everyone," she said.
