A teenager charged with the murder of two boys in Bristol has been named for the first time ahead of the opening of a trial into their deaths.

Riley Tolliver, 18, is one of five people facing trial over fatal stabbings of Mason Rist, 15, and Max Dixon, 16, who were attacked in Ilminster Avenue, Knowle West, on 27 January.

Anthony Snook, 45, and three teenagers aged 15, 16 and 17 who cannot be named due to their age will also be tried for their murder.

Legal proceedings began at Bristol Crown Court yesterday, with jury selection for the trial - expected to last for 10 weeks - now under way.

A group of 50 potential jurors has now been whittled down to 18.

Trial judge Mrs Justice May told them: "The defendants face two charges of murder relating to the death of two teenagers earlier this year."

The 18 were sent away yesterday afternoon, and will be further narrowed down to 12 today before they are formally sworn in.
