A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the chest at a park in Derby.

Police said the man, in his 40s, had been chased by two Asian men into Darley Park from the car park off Darley Park Drive at about 10:00 BST on Wednesday.

At hospital he received treatment for what was found to be a minor injury.

Officers are appealing for information on the two suspects, who left the scene in a black BMW 1 Series that went down Duffield Road towards the city centre.

Derbyshire Police added the assault was thought to be an isolated incident.
