A woman has been charged with murder over the death of a man at a house in Coventry.

Alfred James Corbett, better known as Jamie, was found seriously injured just after 04:00 BST on 17 September but died at the scene.

Laura Shanley, 35, was arrested at Edmund Road and is due to appear before magistrates in the city on Thursday.

In a tribute, Mr Corbett's family described the 34-year-old as "a wonderful and caring soul" and added he was a loyal and loving person. West Midlands Police said officers were continuing to investigate the death and called for anyone with information to come forward.
