A man has pleaded guilty to religiously aggravated harassment and assaulting an emergency worker after an incident at a mosque.
Police were called to reports of disorderly and abusive behaviour during prayers at the Alma Road Mosque in Peterborough at about 06:45 BST on Friday.
The 57-year-old from the city was also charged with racially aggravated harassment and a racially aggravated public order offence, which he denies.
He was released on bail with strict conditions not to go to the mosque for any reason, and is next due to appear at Peterborough Magistrates' Court on 26 November.
Supt Ben Martin from Cambridgeshire Police said: "We will continue to have an increased police presence near mosques in the city in the coming days as reassurance."
