Famous wildlife exhibition to visit Wolverhampton

A world-renowned wildlife exhibition on loan from London's Natural History Museum will open at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.

The Wildlife Photographer of the Year display will arrive in the city on Saturday 25 October and run until January.

Nature photography from across the globe is displayed on lightboxes to create an immersive experience.

The exhibition showcases images from the longstanding annual photography competition which receives entries from all over the world.

This year's contest - the 61st - attracted more than 60,000 entries from photographers of all ages and experience levels, said City of Wolverhampton Council.

The winning images from this year's batch will be announced on Tuesday 14 October.

The 62nd Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition opens for entries on Monday 20 October and closes on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

The display set for Wolverhampton next month is a ticketed event, although visitors under the age of 21 can enter for free.
