A man was threatened with a saw during a road rage incident in East Cowick, police said.
The driver slowed down on the A614, near to the Snaith roundabout, on Saturday morning to pass a horse and its rider safely, Humberside Police said.
Three men in a van behind got out and began threatening the driver with a hand saw.
Nobody was injured, but the window of the man's vehicle was damaged.
The men then returned to their van and drove off.
Police appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage of the incident.
This story has been updated as Humberside Police originally gave the location of the incident as the Driffield roundabout.
