The duck was escorted across the road by officers on Saturday

A lost duck was helped across the road by police officers in a scene which could have come straight from the film Hot Fuzz.
Cumbria Police's Eden neighbourhood police team (NPT) said one of its officers found the duck on a road in Appleby on Saturday night.
They helped the bird return to a riverbank about 9m (30ft) away, a spokesperson said.
The officer was "Eden NPT's answer to Sgt Angel", it said in a social media post, adding: "We aren't too far from Sandford!"
Hot Fuzz, a 2007 British comedy-action film starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, detailed the humdrum lives of rural police officers who uncover a murderous plot.
