Man charged with attempted murder after assault

A 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and intentional strangulation after a woman was attacked.
The victim remains in hospital in a stable condition after the assault on 12 September, Avon and Somerset Police said.
Tobias Raynes, from the Camden area of Bath, appeared at Taunton Magistrates Court on Monday. He was also charged with being in possession of a bladed article in a public place.
Mr Raynes was remanded into custody until his next appearance at Taunton Crown Court on 11 October.
