Firefighters have been called to help a town's leisure centre staff deal with "unprecedented levels of rainfall".

Water has made its way into The Link Centre's plant room in Swindon, a spokesperson has said.

It added Dorset & Wiltshire Fire Service attended the site "as a precautionary measure".

The Met Office amber weather warning is due to stay in force until 21:00 BST across parts of central and southern England, including Wiltshire.

The spokesperson said the leisure centre remains open and activities are unaffected.
