A woman has denied murdering her two-year-old daughter.

Eliza Ngaba died at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford on August 15 2022 and Sarah Ngaba, 31, formerly of Briarwood in Telford, was charged in May this year.

Judge Kristina Montgomery KC said her trial would begin on 27 April 2026 and it is expected to last three weeks.

Ms Ngaba appeared by video link at Stafford Crown Court in a green coat with a fur-lined hood and spoke only to confirm her name and enter her plea.

Judge Montgomery urged Ms Ngaba to "play your part" in providing her solicitors with information and said there would be a case management hearing in September.
