Person rescued from cliffs in joint-agency effort

Ambulance, police, fire and the RNLI were involved

A person had to be rescued by a multi-agency team of emergency services on Bank Holiday Monday after they needed medical treatment on a Guernsey coastal cliff trail.
Ambulance and Rescue said the person was taken to hospital after being rescued near the Cows Horn, St Peter Port.
The rescue was started from the south coast cliff trail but at about 05:00 BST paramedics arrived and, "due to the location", it was decided the best access would be from the shoreline.
Ambulances were diverted to the harbour and crews taken to the area by the RNLI. The patient was transferred by two RNLI boats before being taken to hospital. Police and fire crews also helped with their "safe extrication".
A spokesperson for Ambulance and Rescue said it was "another good example of joint working by Guernsey's emergency services with good coordination and communication from those involved".
