Police have seized more than 200 cannabis plants in a raid at a house.

Lancashire Police found plants growing across five rooms at the cannabis farm in Leyland on Friday.

The force said the electricity supply had been by-passed "through an underground channel to the mains".

The cannabis farm was dismantled and the supply made safe by SP Northwest Electricity, it said.

Police said cannabis cultivation is often linked to organised cime

A police spokesperson said: "Cannabis cultivation is not a victimless crime.

"It is often linked to organised crime groups, exploitation, and dangerous electrical setups that put neighbours and communities at risk."
