A 26-year-old man has been arrested over an assault after a person died in East Ayrshire.
Police Scotland said it was called to a property in Newmilns at about 12:20 following an unexplained death.
Officers had cordoned off a section of the town's High Street.
The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed it had been called to the incident at about 12:37. Police said inquiries were ongoing.
