Remembrance and Armistice plans across two counties

Leicestershire and Rutland are ready to remember the fallen and honour those who have given service in our armed forces.
Services are being held across the two counties to mark Remembrance Day and Armistice Day.
The Local Democracy Reporting Service has compiled a list of services happening around the area.
You can find the main services and parades near you by alphabetical order.
Coalville
The parade leaves Christ Church at 10:40 GMB on Sunday, along Hotel Street and High Street, for a service to mark the two minutes silence and wreath laying in Memorial Square.
During the silence, poppy petals will be released from the Clock Tower.
An Armistice Day Service at the War Memorial will take place on Monday at 11:00.
Glenfield
A service to mark Armistice Day is being held at County Hall on Monday.
The service will take place at the Stand Easy memorial from 10:40, with the laying of wreaths and a two-minute silence at 11:00.
Hinckley
Hinckley’s Remembrance Sunday service will take place at Argents Mead war memorial at 10:55.
The first parade will leave Mount Road Hospital car park at about 10:35, with a second parade following the service.
Leicester
A service will take place at the war memorial in Victoria Park on Sunday.
A parade, led by the Seaforth Highlanders Pipes, will leave De Montfort Hall at about 10:40 and make its way to the Arch of Remembrance for 10:55.
A bugler will sound the Last Post before the firing of salutes for a two-minute silence.
A returning parade will leave through the War Memorial and back on to Centenary Walk to De Montfort Hall at about 11:45.
Loughborough
The parade will start from the Market Place at 10:20 on Sunday through the town centre to the Carillon Tower in Queen's Park, where a service will start at 10:50.
Armistice Day will be commemorated on Monday with a service at 10:50 at the Carillon Tower.
The Last Post will be played, and at 11:00 a two minute silence will be observed.
Lutterworth
The parade will start at the Wycliffe Rooms on Sunday at 10:30, arriving at the Memorial Gardens at about 10:45 for the service.
Market Harborough
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 10:00 on Sunday in St Dionysius Church, followed at about 10:40 by a parade along the High Street to the war memorial, where the Act of Remembrance and two-minute silence will take place at 11:00.
On Monday, at 10:45, there will be a Service of Remembrance at the war memorial, with a two-minute silence at 11:00 beginning and ending with firework blasts.
Melton Mowbray
The parade will take place on Sunday, starting in Chapel Street car park at 10:20 to St Mary’s Parish Church for a service starting at 10:50.
A second parade will begin again at about 11:50 in Burton Street to the War Memorial Gardens for a wreath laying ceremony.
Oadby
The parade starts at 14:00 on Sunday from Sandhurst Street car park to St Peter’s Church for a service.
Oakham
On Sunday, a parade will head to the church for the Rutland Service of Remembrance from 14:00.
On Monday at 10:45, there will be a Service of Remembrance at Oakham Castle with a minute’s silence at 11:00.
Shepshed
The parade starts at 14:00 on Sunday on Field Street.
South Wigston
A Remembrance Service will be held at St Thomas the Apostle Church in South Wigston from 10:00 on Sunday, with the Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial on Blaby Road at 10:55.
Syston
The parade will start at 10:30 on Sunday on Melton Road.
A service at the memorial, including the laying of wreaths, will take place at 11:00, before the parade returns to Melton Road.
A church service will be held at St Peter and St Paul’s Church at about 11:30.
Wigston
The parade starts at 10:30am on Sunday from Elizabeth Court to All Saints’ Church and will be followed by a Remembrance Service inside.
On Monday, a service will take place from 10:50 at Peace Memorial Park.
