Police remained at the scene to speak to witnesses and gather CCTV, and have appealed for anyone with relevant information, dashcam or mobile phone footage to get in touch.
David Roberts travelled to the area this morning from Penn to go shopping for his mother, who lives on the crescent.
He said it was a "shock" to see a police presence when he arrived.
"Nothing like this has ever happened before," he said. "It's usually very quiet around here."
Shaun Smith, a local resident, said he felt "scared to come out at night" after the shooting.
