Rush-hour commuters have faced train delays after rubbish got caught on overhead power lines.

Great Northern and Thameslink said plastic had become stuck above tracks between Alexandra Palace and Welwyn Garden City on Wednesday.

Passengers heading from London towards Cambridge, Peterborough and Stevenage have been warned of disruption until 12:00 BST.

"The cause for this disruption were pieces of plastic that had got caught in the overhead lines," Great Northern said on X, external.
