A car was left lodged in the side of a house in Telford when it crashed into it.

The building sustained severe damage during the crash in Holyhead Road, Ketley, at about 10:45 GMT on Sunday, Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) said the driver had not wanted to be assessed and was discharged at the scene.

Two people inside the property were assessed and discharged, without needing to be taken to hospital, WMAS said.

West Mercia Police later said a man had been reported for driving without due care.

The fire service said Telford and Wrekin Council had been informed and a structural engineer had been called, to carry out an inspection.
