Eco business park bosses promise jobs boost

The first businesses are expected to move into Kempsey Eco Business Park before Christmas

A new eco business park will provide jobs for local people, a councillor has said.
Kempsey Eco Business Park, off the A38 just south of the village, will feature a mix of office, retail and light industrial units, as well as a farm shop.
Work on a new HGV and car entrance on to the park is under way, with the first businesses expected to move in before Christmas.
Worcestershire County Councillor Martin Allen said he was "delighted" the site, formerly a garden nursery and small show, had not been left to "go to ruin and waste" and was being put to good use.
Councillor Allen said the two-and-a-half acre park, near Worcester, would be easily accessible by foot and bike, alongside local bus services.
"This is wonderful news for Kempsey - we need more local employment," he said.
"I understand that there may soon be businesses moving in, such as a dentists, theatre academy, landscaping company and others."
The business park's website said its office space units would benefit from underfloor heating, which would be powered by biomass energy produced on-site, using wood chips from local tree surgeons.
It is also set to feature vehicle charging points and "high-performance insulation materials" to reduce energy consumption and save running costs.
Park bosses added they were excited to be coming to Kempsey and to bring jobs to the local economy.
This news was gathered by the Local Democracy Reporting Service, which covers councils and other public service organisations.
