A part of a major road has been closed due to a large oil spill from a tractor.
Drivers travelling on the A12 southbound in Essex experienced standstill traffic after disruptions between junction 26 near Colchester, Essex, and junction 25 near Marks Tey on Friday morning.
A spokesperson for National Highways said it has contractors at the scene who were set to carry out clean-up works during the day.
The disruption has caused severe delays in the area and people have been urged to consider alternative routes.
