Three people have been arrested in connection with a police investigation into alleged misconduct at a council, it has emerged.

Cambridgeshire Police are looking at claims of misconduct in a public office at Peterborough City Council.

A woman in her 60s from Cambridgeshire, a man in his 70s from Bedfordshire and a man in his 80s from Cambridgeshire were all arrested in May.

None of those arrested have been named, and all have been bailed until later in the year.

Peterborough City Council has declined to comment, while police have refused to say what the alleged misconduct is in relation to.
