After ploughing into the biker, Jack Wasteney fled the scene

A driver who caused a motorcyclist to lose his leg after ploughing into him during a car meet in Rotherham has been jailed.
Jack Wasteney, 25, who had travelled to the event from his home in Worksop, was driving his VW Golf erratically and at speed when he crashed into the motorcyclist, launching him into the air, police said.
As the biker was thrown down the road, his motorcycle collided with two pedestrians in the crowd, injuring them as well.
Wasteney was jailed for three years and three months at Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday for causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
South Yorkshire Police said Wasteney fled the scene after the collision, leaving others to call for help.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital where he had to have one of his legs amputated.
The two pedestrians also required treatment at hospital, police said.
Sgt John Taylor, from the force's serious collision unit, said: "No amount of prison sentence will change the outcome for the victim, as he still continues to navigate life with the loss of his limb.
"We hope it sends a strong message out to those who participate in car meets; you are not invisible, your life can change."
The officer said police were "willing to work alongside those who organise safe car meets" but would not tolerate vehicles being driven in an anti-social manner.
He said: "We will not tolerate anyone blighting our communities. We will close roads and hold you and your vehicle.
"We are not here to 'ruin' your fun, but we are here to protect the public."
Wasteney, of Glenfield Close, was also disqualified from driving for five years and seven months.
