Firefighters had to come to the rescue of a six-year-old dog which got stuck in a fox hole in an east London park.
Tosca the dachshund became wedged in a tunnel about 3ft (1m) below ground level on Sunday, the London Fire Brigade (LFB) said.
Firefighters were called to Victoria Park at about 15:00 GMT and managed to dig the dog out of its predicament two hours later.
Crews used specialist equipment, including a snake-eye camera, to locate the runaway pet.
Station commander Paul Jarrett said: "Tosca went on adventure in Hackney and disappeared down a fox hole.
"After some careful digging, firefighters freed Tosca and safely reunited them with their owners."
An LFB spokesperson said pet owners were generally encouraged to call the RSPCA in the first instance if their animals get into difficulty, and that the brigade would "assist if its specialist equipment is required - as in this case".
