A man has been charged with murder following the death of another man in a hit-and-run in Wolverhampton.

Ryan Griffiths, 29, died in hospital two days after he was struck in Burleigh Road at about 21:00 BST on 21 August.

West Midlands Police said 26-year-old Aden Wright had been charged with murder and was due before city magistrates on Wednesday.

A 20-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of murder and perverting the course of justice, has been released on bail while inquiries continue, the force added.

Mr Griffiths' family have previously paid tribute to their "loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and cousin".
