Plans for a house in multiple occupation on Padholme Road, Peterborough, have been refused over parking concerns

  • Published

An application to convert a three-bedroom family home into a house in multiple occupation (HMO) for nine people has been rejected on parking grounds.

The planning application submitted to Peterborough City Council was to turn a two-storey house in Padholme Road into a six-bedroom HMO.

There were objections over parking, including from the local highways authority, which said the proposal would require one space per bedroom, meaning there would need to be at least six permits issued.

Neighbours also raised concerns about the potential increase in noise.
