Motorcyclist killed and passenger injured in crash

Police said a motorcyclist, in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash

A motorcyclist was killed and his pillion passenger injured in a crash on a road in Rutland, police have said.
Leicestershire Police said the pair were riding a Piaggio PX motorcycle on the A606 Melton Road, in Langham, at about 10:00 GMT on Sunday when it was involved in a crash with a black Nissan Terrano.
On Monday, the force said the rider, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The passenger, in her 50s, was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening or life-changing.
Police said the driver of the car, a man in his 80s, was not injured.
Anyone with information about the crash or footage of the vehicles involved has been urged to contact police.
