Body of missing woman found in river search

Police divers began searching the River Severn after a person was reported to have gone into the water on Tuesday

Police looking for a missing woman have found her body during searches of the River Severn, it has been confirmed.

Harriet Davies, 24, had been reported missing from her home in Diglis, Worcester, on Tuesday.

Emergency services, including boat crews and a drone, searched the water following reports of a person seen in the water in Diglis on Tuesday.

West Mercia Police said Ms Davies' death was not being treated as suspicious.

"Our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly sad time," a force spokesperson said.
