A man has been arrested after a pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a crash involving an electric bike in Cheshire.

A 59-year-old man was taken to hospital following the collision on Waterlode, Nantwich, at about 17:48 BST on Thursday.

The rider of the e-bike, aged 20, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in custody.

Cheshire Police is appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage of the incident, which involved a black Sur-Ron e-bike.
