A man has been airlifted to hospital after a crash with a lorry on the M11 near Stansted Airport that has left him with "potentially life-threatening" injuries, police have said.
Essex Police was called to reports of a crash on the southbound carriageway, near junction eight, just after 09:00 BST.
The road was closed in both directions between junctions seven and eight but the northbound carriageway is now open.
