Police are appealing for dashcam footage and information after a white Audi was driven dangerously and the driver failed to stop

A car being chased by police overtook other vehicles at speed, mounted curbs and drove over children's playing fields, the force said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers tracked a white Audi to Victoria Road in Plymouth about 20:00 BST on Thursday 12 September after receiving reports of dangerous driving and alerts from speed cameras.

The car sped off before the occupants could be stopped, police said, so officers began a "lengthy" pursuit and deployed the National Police Air Service helicopter.

The empty car was later found on Ferndale Road in Weston Mills and officers were told two men had been seen running from it.

The force has appealed for anyone with dashcam footage, CCTV or information to contact officers.
