A man accused of raping a woman in Swindon town centre has had the charge against him dropped.

Prinse Kessie, 32, of Prospero Way, was charged with committing the alleged attack in the Regents Street area of the town on 23 March this year.

He had been due to stand trial at Swindon Crown Court in late September.

But the charges were dropped after the Crown Prosecution Service offered no evidence against Mr Kessie at a hearing on 27 August.
